What is the difference between a Grand-Aides Classroom teacher and a Grand-Aides Clinical Supervisor?

A Grand-Aides Classroom teacher provides classroom training for Grand-Aides. Clinical training as part of the overall training program, and / or supervision, is provided by a Grand-Aides Clinical Supervisor. An individual may be certified as both a Grand-Aides Classroom teacher and a Grand-Aides Clinical Supervisor.

How do I become a Grand-Aides Classroom teacher?

In most cases, the requirements for Classroom teachers is set by your organization. Becoming a Grand-Aides Classroom teacher requires the following steps:

  1. Be designated by your organization
  2. Complete the Grand-Aides Teach-the-Classroom teacher program to attain Classroom teacher Provisional status which is followed by a year of Internship.

What kind of training may a Grand-Aides Classroom teacher provide?

A Certified Grand-Aides Classroom teacher is qualified for classroom training to Grand-Aides within his/her own organization as set out in the training certificate.

How long does my Grand-Aides Classroom teacher certification last?

Grand-Aides Classroom teacher certification is valid for one year, after which an annual Grand-Aides Classroom teacher Recertification Test is available.

Who may I train once I am a Grand-Aides Classroom teacher?

A Certified Grand-Aides Classroom teacher is required to sign a statement that the Classroom teacher will only teach Grand-Aides in the organization(s) (and not teach individuals) as stated on the certificate that is issued for 5 years.

May I charge for Grand-Aides trainings that I give?

Certified Grand-Aides Classroom teachers may conduct trainings only within their own organizations and may not charge participants for Grand-Aides trainings.

What training materials will I need as a Certified Grand-Aides Classroom teacher and how much will they cost?

Some training materials are included in the cost of the Grand-Aides Teach-the-Classroom teacher Program. Please contact the Grand-AidesFoundation to discuss your individual situation and receive an estimate of training materials costs.
